Elisabeth Waglechner

Elisabeth Waglechner was born in 1997 in Vienna, Austria. She is currently studying performance piano at the University for Music and performing Arts Vienna with Christopher Hinterhuber and his assistant Christoph Traxler. Additionally works on chamber music with Christoph Eggner, Stefan Mendl and Marialena Fernandes. She started playing the piano at the local music school of her hometown Pitten, in 2009 she was accepted at the University in Vienna in the special class for highly gifted children.

She is prize winner of several national and international competitions, 1st prize in the international piano competition of Gagny, 2nd prize in the international Takacks competition and winner of Musica juventutis , of Hajek/Boss/Wagner prize and of Allegro vivo competition.

She was invited to perform at the Haydn-festival in Eisenstadt with Austrian-Hungarian Haydnphilharmonie under the baton of Adam Fischer, at the Konzerthaus Vienna, primatial Palast Bratislava, the Beethoven Mozart and Schubert houses in Vienna, to Styriarte and Altenburg Abby and Melk Abby.

Elisabeth took masterclass with many renowned professors such as Robert Levin, Pavel Gililov, Antii Siraala, Martin Hughes, Ya-Fei Chuang, Andrzej Jasinksi and Andreas Frölich.
