Zhu Wang

 Zhu Wang, Born in Yueyang, China. He started to play the piano at the age of five. He is now a first-year undergraduate student at The Juilliard School, studying with Robert McDonald.

Zhu has been awarded many first prizes in International Piano competitions including Hilton Head International Piano competition, the 16th Asian Chopin International Piano Competition in Japan, The Second Chopin International Piano Competition in Mongolia, also special prizes for the best Waltz, preludes, and Mazurka in the 5th International Chopin Young artist Piano Competition.

He has appeared a lot of recitals in United States and China, including Shanghai Concerto Hall and Shanghai Grand Theater. Also, he has performed with Hilton Head Symphony, San Juan Symphony, Xiamen Philharmonic and Mongolian Symphony orchestras.

Zhu has participated in numerous piano festivals, including Music Academy of the West, Shanghai International Piano Institutes and Academy, Music Fest Perugia and Amalfi-Coast Music Festival.  He has joined master classes with Gary Graffman, Murray Perahia, Nelita True, Boris Slutsky, and Fou Ts’ong, Juilian Martin, among others. He graduated from The Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2016 under great pedagogy Zhe Tang since 2009. Previous teachers include Xiaofeng Zheng and Wenhong Chen.
