U Chun Lam (HongKong, China)

U Chum Lam, Eason was born in 2002, started learning the piano at the age of 5 at GMC School of Music. In 2009, at the age of 7, he was admitted into the GMC Young Pianist Program studied with senior teacher Ms. Nicole Ng, and currently studies with principal Ms. Rizzo Chung.

He has been awarded many prizes in local competitions, including multiple wins in the GMC music Competition, Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Piano Competition, Asian Youth Music Competition and Hong Kong Generation Next Arts Music Competition.

In 2013, Eason won First Prize in the Amateur Group in the 77th Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition (Hong Kong & Macau Region) and has invited to perform on live radio which was broadcasted on RTHK4 Classical Channel. At the same year, he represented Hong Kong to participate in the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition the China Final in Xiamen, where he won the Amateur Class aged 10 -12 as well as The Amateur Grand Prize. Also he was invited to perform in the closing ceremony held in Hongtai Hall.  

He has also won numerous First prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival from 2010-2016.  Including the First Prize of the Junior Exhibitioner Award in 2015 and was invited to perform in the winners concert held in Shatin Town Hall, which was broadcasted on RTHK4, and Betty Drown Memorial Prize of Piano Concerto under 13 in 2016 and Concerto under 19 in 2017.

In January 2016, Eason attended the 17th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia which was held in Tokyo-Japan, where he received the Gold Award in Junior High-school Category. Moreover, he was invited to participate Piano Texas 2016 which was held in USA and gave public recitals in different venues.
